Metal Updates!

This week's being bombarded with loads of fancy new releases! Some of which are pretty exciting!

And yes I must begin with Finnish metallers Kalmah who are out with their first track from their latest album, Seventh Swamphony. Catchy name. Can't wait for the entire album!

https://soundcloud.com/spinefarmrecords/kalmah-windlake-tale - MADDENING RIFFS. And the sudden pauses just leave you jaw dropped. This song friggin owns giving the phrase "shredding guitar" a completely new definition!! ^_^ They prove time and again that they are Melodeath Maestros!!!!!!

Kalmah have just released a new song for streaming from their upcoming album which will be called Seventh Swamphony. The track is called "Windlake Tale" and you can listen to the song on the Soundcloud player below. The first details about the album and follow-up to 2010's 12 Gauge were also disclosed.

Seventh Swamphony is the seventh studio album of Kalmah, it will feature eight tracks and is set for release on June 17th 2013 via Spinefarm Records. It was recorded at Tico-Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland, and features a selection of brand new tracks, mixed and mastered at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (OpethSoilworkParadise Lost, etc.).

Antti Kokko, Kalmah's lead guitarist, says: "This album marks a milestone in our careers. We have a new keyboard player, which has given a fresh edge to the music, and we are of course very satisfied with the new material. That is why we wanted to give the songs the best possible chance without compromise; we feel very lucky and privileged to have worked with Jens Bogren."

Canadian death metal band, Kataklysm have announced their newest album title! Looking forward to that! Big fan of their music, In The Arms Of Devestation being my favourite album!

After revealing that a new album was in the worksKataklysm have set the title for their upcoming album. It will be titled Waiting For The End To Come and it is tentatively scheduled for a late 2013 release via Nuclear Blast Records worldwide. The death metal combo also stated that the lyrical theme of the album will revolve around mortality and the purpose of life.

Commented vocalist Maurizio Iacono: "Well it's been a seriously busy ride since our last album Heaven's Venomwas released over 3 years ago. From a successful world headlining run, to Ozzfest, into a recap of our 20 years as band with the Iron Will DVD. We've been writing in a very humble fashion behind the scenes for the last six months. It's time to take Kataklysm to higher levels and dig deep into our capacities as musicians and songwriters. We know exactly what we have to do, that's why we have taken our time and why we'll be taking most of the Summer to complete the new album. The record will deal lyrically with mortality and the purpose of ones being on this earth. The moment we are born we start to die. It's a sort of deal we make with life, and with that I title the new Kataklysm album Waiting For The End To Come."

Kataklysm is working on the new album with renowned producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (who has worked withHatebreedSuffocationChimairaAll That Remains, among others).
