You know how I keep talking about goals and dreaming and keeping at it till it happens? THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE!!!!!!! EXCUSE THE CONSTANT BOMBARDMENT OF CAPS BECAUSE I AM WAY BEYOND PSYCHED. I MIGHT JUST PUNCH MY SCREEN.
I was supposed to post this day before but anyway.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. ENSLAVED ENSLAVED ENSLAVED. NOVEMBER 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I open MetalObsession on possibly the best Saturday I've had this month and THIS is what I see! Enslaved's Australian Tour has been postponed from June to November! *does the happy dance*
Okai so, the thing is, I'm here, in India. But in November I won't be. I was SO friggin upset that I was so close to Enslaved's concert date yet I wouldn't be able to go. But NOW. ^_^ Excitement apart, things you want will happen if you really REALLY want them. Me missing SO many gigs all these years is finally paying off . Happiness right now is an absolute understatement.
For those of you who don't know, Enslaved are pretty much the Gods of Norwegian metal. An extremely versatile progressive metal band, they are not afraid to experiment! There's significant differences between their latest album especially, compared to many of their previous ones. Must check out RIITIIR. It's mandatory that any metal fan listens to this particular album. It's got some very Opeth-y influenced tracks which just call out to you instantly. This album is rather subtle and quieter as opposed to their other albums but it gives you a nice, warm and soothing feeling. Best part is, it's obvious how much the band has evolved in terms of their style of music and playing, from their roots of black viking metal to a more progressive and melodic approach. Even if you're not big on the whole metal genre, the lyrics throughout this album emanate a whole visual while you're listening to their music. Especially for someone like me who visualizes pretty much anything and gives imagination a whole new meaning. Unlike many Viking metal bands, Enslaved's lyrics and music in particular have a poetic flow to it and are polished, meaningful and classy, not mere folk hymns and death growls.Their music takes you out of reality and into a world that is far from what it is and is perceived as today.
An album that is recommended for any metal fan! Cheggits if you haven't!
My favourite tracks! Listen and be peaceful! ^_^
And the Title track. Which The Tube doesn't believe in having.
So excited! Any Enslaved fans? CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers! =)
